LC Anderson HS – the place where we believe Night Train began his incredible run toward Stardom. Anderson was a football powerhouse back in the 40’s & 50’s winning 3 State titles & numerous District titles. They actually won another in 1944 (with Night Train), but it was taken away from them because of PVIL age eligibility requirements. They went un-defeated that season and only one team scored 2 points on them.
The school was unexpectedly Shut Down in 1971.

Detroit Tiger Hall of Famer

Willie Horton (member of the MLB 300 HR Club) was a close friend of Night Train and credits Night Train for mentoring him and supplying him with the tools to run an organization like Detroit PAL. Today PAL is one of the leading Non-Profits in America that supports and provides kids with skills and mentorship to transition from a child to an adult in the Inner-City of Detroit & beyond.

Detroit PAL (Detroit Police Athletic League)

Giving back to the Community was one of Night Train’s greatest Victories. He spent 17 years leading the PAL organization and setting the standard by which future generations would adhere to. Police working with children and the community they serve is the cornerstone of PAL’s and Night Train’s longevity of success.
